Meet The Team
Kendra comes from a very extended fitness background. Born and raised in the Newfound area, she graduated from Springfield College in 2006 with BS in Sport and Exercise Physiology and a double minor in Health and Athletic Coaching.
Kendra has over 16 years of experience working in the fitness industry, with experiences managing fitness clubs, Healthtrax & Cardio Express in central Connecticut. After a few years of the fast-paced life, She relocated back up to NH and finished up her certification as a Personal Trainer & Yoga Instructor though the American Council on Exercise. Before opening Newfound Fitness, Kendra worked at Choice Physical Therapy/Speare Memorial Hospital as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in the Medical Fitness department. Kendra is also our resident aerial arts & yoga instructor. She has worked at turning her hobby into a career, training in programs such as Aerial Physique, Born to Fly & the Circus Doc. New England Center for Circus Arts in Brattleboro, VT has become her primary studio, where she schedules herself to train at least twice a year.
During the COVID shutdown, she committed her studies to to a rigorous program helping her become a Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor though the Prison Yoga Project. She is looking forward to the COVID restrictions being lifted so that her studies may continue with the great group of PYP staff that work on the inside.
